Ramara Township Resident Charged With 1st Degree Murder

Police have arrested and charged a Ramara Township woman in the death of a Severn Township resident back in April. On April 9th, emergency personnel were dispatched to a fire at 3455 Riverdale Drive in Severn Township in Washago. The victim and lone resident of the house, 82-year old Richard “Dick” Humble was recovered from the building semi-conscious, but badly burned. He died as a result of his injuries later that day. An investigation into the fire and death led to the arrest of 47 year old Margaret “Lee” Cole of Ramara Township. She’s been charged with 1st degree murder, fraud over $5,000 and theft under $5,000. She was arrested in Ottawa and transported to Orillia where she remains in custody for a first appearance in Barrie Court today.
