Bracebridge OPP are reporting several recent drug busts.
On Friday, officers arrested a woman for running a marijuana grow op. Police seized plants from the location in Severn Bridge and charged the 48 year old with production and possession of marihuana.
Officers have also been investigating the sale of oxycodone and cocaine in the area and a traffic stop has led to the seizure of drugs and property. Police say cocaine, marihuana, oxycodone tablets, and cash were all recovered from the vehicle and three people were arrested. A 47 year old man from Lake of Bays, a 27 year old woman from Novar, and a 47 year old woman from Bracebridge face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and being in possession of property obtained by crime.
Meanwhile, another traffic stop has led to charges against a 57 year old man. Police pulled him over last Tuesday and found more than two thousand dollars worth of drugs and cash inside the vehicle. He was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and being in possession of property obtained by crime.
And yet another man is facing drug charges following a raid at a Spencer Street home. During the search officers discovered over three ounces of marijuana worth 13 hundred dollars. They also seized equipment including digital scales, packaging materials, and a cell phone. The 49 year old suspect was charged with possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
