Junior hockey season in Muskoka gets underway this weekend. The South Muskoka Shield welcomes fans to a tailgate party tonight at the Centennial Centre beginning at 5:30pm. Then tomorrow night the Shield faces off against the Bracebridge Phantoms for the Shield home opener. Puck drops at 8:00pm at the Centennial Centre. Then on Saturday the Phantoms return home for their home opener against the Bradford Rattlers for a 7:30 start at Memorial Arena. Meantime the Junior C Otters open their season at home September 16^th against Penetang.
