Grief Counselors Called In To Toronto High School

Hits

The man accused of inappropriate behavior while a camp counselor at the Ontario Pioneer Camp has apparently committed suicide.  David Dewees was charged Thursday with luring and invitation to sexual touching.  The charges came after allegations were made that he befriended two boys at the Ontario Pioneer Camp in Port Sydney and later had inappropriate contact with them over the Internet.  It’s been widely reported Dewees committed suicide on Saturday by jumping in front of a subway train.  Dewees taught at Jarvis Collegiate for 6 years.  Grief counselors will be at the school today to help teachers and students deal with his suicide.  Reports say many at the school say he was innocent of the charges.
