Cats Still Missing After Highway 11 Crash Last Week

E-mail Print PDF

A Burlington family is still looking for their missing cats after a crash on Highway 11. On Friday, a man was driving a pickup and towing a trailer northbound when he veered trying to avoid getting hit by a car merging into his lane. The pickup rolled onto its roof near Shoreview Drive. Two cats were in the pickup but ran away after the crash.

His wife, Michelle Riviere, contacted this station and says her husband went back to the scene after being released from hospital later that day, but had no luck finding their cats. They've been looking all weekend and still no luck. She is asking residents in the Highway 11/Shoreview and Washago areas to look in your garages, sheds and under decks, as they tend to hide when scared.

If you have any information, call the Orillia SPCA, OPP or Michelle. The contact information is on the above photo.
