Power is now up for over 300 Lake of Bays area Hydro One customers. Crews have removed the tree that fell on the main line that caused the outage for several hours earlier this morning.

Ten new trees are blowing in the breeze at Annie Williams Park. Last week members of the 1st and 3rd Bracebridge Beaver Scouts, Scouts, Cub Scouts and Leaders helped plant 10 new trees at the park as a part of a 10-year tradition of upkeep to the park. Former Scout Leader Tony Armstrong donated the trees.

The possibility of a sunset cruise in Rosseau will be discussed at Seguin Township council today. Council will discuss the possibility of having sunset cruises from the Rosseau waterfront during the Rosseau Farmer's Market every Friday. Also on tonight's agenda is the salary rate comparisons for the OPP in 2014.

A Seguin man is charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats. West Parry Sound OPP got a 911 call from a woman last Wednesday afternoon saying that her neighbour came at her, yelling threats and swinging an axe. When police arrived, the neighbour was in his garage and officers say he was very drunk with an axe leaning up against a wall. The 65-year-old man was arrested and charged.

There are pockets of power outages in and around Muskoka this morning. Most Hydro One customers affected are in the Lake of Bays/ Bigwin Island area with over 300 homes without power. Hydro One says a tree fell on the main line, but they should have power up and running again by 10:30am. Other areas include Lake Muskoka, where power there is expected back up by 4:00pm.
