E-mail Print PDF

Police in the region are investigating two cases of dog cruelty.  In one case a small terrier was found dead in the west part of Lake Nipissing.  Police say a weight was tied to one leg.  And shortly after midnight in Sudbury Wednesday police charged a 26-year-old man for causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.   Witnesses told police the man began kicking the dog on various parts of its body, including on its face, after it got off its leash.
