The head of a lobby group says the McGuinty Liberals should stop paying into the teachers’ pension fund.  Bill Tufts of Fair Pensions for All says the teachers’ pension fund is worth $17 billion and last year alone made nearly $12 billion. Tufts says the province would save $1.4 billion each year of our tax dollars if it stopped paying into the fund.  Tufts adds Ontario teachers aren’t hurting because at an average salary of more than $83,000, they’re among the highest paid educators in the world.
