Just before the long weekend the McGuinty Liberals announced a program that tells them how well their Growth Plan for Northern Ontario is working.  The new program will also provide a stronger voice for northerners.  But the NDP say the Northern Policy Institute is smoke and mirrors.  Timmins – James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson says the north has plenty of voices representing them at Queen’s Park.  Bisson adds the Premier just doesn’t like what those voices say.  The policy institute will cost $5 million but Bisson says that money would be better spent on healthcare or keeping the ONTC alive.
