Algoma District Shops Sell Smokes to Minors

E-mail Print PDF

Algoma Public Health says 16 stores in the Algoma District sold tobacco to minors.  The health unit secretly sent test shoppers to 112 stores to see who would break the law of selling smokes to people under 19.  However, the health unit fails to say if it punished or penalized the 16 stores for breaking the Smoke-free Ontario Act.
