Those with Ontario Northland are speaking out over the political sludge fest as the budget bill and amendment review continues on Tuesday. The General Chairperson’s Association that represents unionized employees at Ontario Northland is watching the budget vote closely. GCA spokesman Brian Kelly said the defeat of the NDP amendment shows the Conservatives support for privatization. The national rep for the CAW Brian Stevens says he’s disappointed but not surprised by the Liberals and Conservatives opposition to the amendment. Stevens says the sale of Ontario Northland is a political decision, but the ONTC and its partners won’t back down and will keep the pressure on.
