A request has been denied to charter the Northlander Train for a trip to thank Northerners for their support. The General Chairperson’s Association, the group the represents unionized employees at Ontario Northland, asked to charter the train on September 22nd, but GCA President Ron Marleau says the McGuinty Government will not allow any charter request before the train service ends on September 28th. Marleau says it’s just another example of McGuinty’s Government disdain for Northerners.
