A mining firm is again digging for gold east of Timmins. Solid Gold has resumed a drilling operation after a court injunction prohibiting its work expired a few days ago. For eight months Solid Gold sat idle after a judge ordered it to consult with the Wahgoshig First Nation before it carried out anymore exploratory work. Wahgoshig said Solid Gold's claim might infringe on an ancient native burial area although the First Nation didn't show if one existed. Meanwhile Solid Gold says Wahgoshig staked several kilometres next to its mining claim with information it got from the company while the court injunction was in place.
