Highschool teachers have voted to walk out. Members of the Ontario Secondary School Teacher's Federation in the Near North district overwhelming voted in favour of a strike mandate. Their contract with the school board expired August 31st. This strike vote is despite new legislation that won't allow them to, but federation VP Harvey Bischof says they're following their rights under the Ontario Labour Relations Act.
