School Board Struggles to Bring Schools Up To Code

Hits
There's a hefty price tag to improve conditions at schools in the Near North District School Board. According to the Nugget, the estimate for all the projects to upgrade the schools is a staggering $100 million. Superintendent of education Geoff Botting says there's a backlog of upgrades and the board is spending only about $4 million a year right now. The Ministry of Education gives 2025 as the year for the board to get up to provincial standards.
