The annual Northern Raffle is all set to kick off to help support the Canadian Red Cross. Mayor Al McDonald will help launched the campaign on November 1st by buying the very first ticket. All the funds raised stay in the community to support Red Cross programs like disaster services. A recent example of how the Red Cross helps out, on Wednesday, two volunteers were out providing shelter, food and supplies to a family in Sturgeon who had a house fire. Tickets for the raffle are $10 and will be on sale throughout the community.
