Justice Career Fair (Wednesday, May 22 nd)- O'Gorman High School from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. (may start a few minutes later than that as groups get set up).  As part of our promotion of Justice related careers, O'Gorman High school is hosting a Justice Career Fair.  This event will include various justice related community partners (Timmins Police, OPP, EMS,  Timmins Fire Department, first-aid station, wilderness survival station, and more) highlighting the work they do so that students can see if they are interested in these types of careers.. 

Carbon Car Races(Wednesday, June 5 th) - O'Gorman Intermediate Catholic School at 9:15 a.m..   A number of O'Gorman High school students will be assisting as O'Gorman Intermediate Catholic School students participate in the initial carbon car races to determine who the top 32 racers are.  These racers will then proceed to a final race to determine the winner.

Carbon Car Races Finale(Friday, June 7 th) - O'Gorman Intermediate Catholic School @ 12:40 p.m.).  The top 32 racers from the initial races will compete to determine a final winner for the carbon car races.  Some O'Gorman High School students will be on hand to assist  with the racesby OICS students.

 

RMSS Vanier Fun Night

We will be hosting our annual Vanier Fun Night on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Vanier Fun Night is a carnival game night for elementary school students --k to grade 8. They socialize, eat, play games for prizes and ultimately, have fun. Admission is only $10.00 for kids, parents are admitted free of charge.

Walk for ALS

WALK for ALS, a.k.a. Lou Gehrig's Disease, is happening on Saturday, June 8 at Gillies Lake.  Join us at 10:30a.m. rain or shine for this local fundraiser to assist those locally suffering with ALS.  The event includes a BBQ, live music, raffle draws, penny table, bake sale, kid's fishpond, face-painting etc.   5Km walk of support around the lake for those who wish to do so. 11th Annual Wag-a-tail-a-thon Fundraiser

Join the Timmins Humane Society on June 2nd as they host the 11th annual Wag-a-tail-a-thon fundraiser with all proceeds going towards direct animal care (i.e. veterinary/medical). 

 

The event takes place at Gilles Lake on June 2nd from 12pm to 4pm

- pledge forms can be picked up at the Pet Value (Timmins Square or Hollinger Court) or our website

- prizes for most pledges raised is:adult category (18yoa +) is an Apple TVandyouth category (under 17yoa) is an iPod Shuffle with a $25 gift card from Future Shop.Note to qualify for prize participants must raise a minimum of $100 in pledges.

- event activities will include BBQ, bouncy play station, face painting, silent auction, fish pond, hoola-a-hoop contest and contests for pet and pet's family member in categories of (1) Best Costume (2) Best Trick and (3) Best Look-a-like.
