With Canada Day celebrations getting set for the weekend, the Timmins Fire Department has a warning for residents staying within the City’s boundaries; no fireworks please. Fire Chief Mike Pintar is reminding everyone that a bylaw is in place, prohibiting fireworks sales and usage within municipal limits.

Under the bylaw, offenders face fines up to $5,000 if caught. Only authorized fireworks can be launched and under the Fire Department’s watch.
