There’s a new way to stay fit in Timmins. It’s called Bounce Fitness and it aims to ramp up working out, while taking some of the pain out of it. Danielle Labonté, winner of the 2012 Female Young Professional award, says this form of exercising was designed by an Australian runner who suffered severe injuries. Labonté says the Kangoo Boots take about 85-percent of the impact out of traditional exercising and burns considerably more calories at the same time. Labonté added the boots into her current training program, Zumba and already it’s gotten a huge response. She gave a demonstration at the downtown Urban Park recently.
Danille’s Zumba Fitness and Training is taught at Sacred Heart School on Cedar Street South, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:30-to-7:30pm. The Kangoo Boots classes are $40 with your own boots and $60 with rentals and it’s first come first served.
