Timmins Police have confirmed they are moving their search north of South Porcupine today for 18-year-old Joshua Depeltau. Inspector Michael McGinn tells MooseFM the mobile command centre is being relocated to Crawford and Ferguson Streets and a yard-by-yard search will begin again, before teams start searching the forested area beyond. McGinn adds there have been some leads reported, but none have panned out just yet. Officers and the volunteers of the Timmins/Porcupine Search and Rescue are working methodically, mapping out sectors to search in the bush.
McGinn says it is unusual behaviour for Joshua to wander off on his own like this and he didn’t appear to take any belongings or food with him when he disappeared. McGinn also notes the shirt Joshua was initially reported to be wearing, was found at his home, so they aren’t sure about the colour shirt he’s currently wearing. Joshua has been missing since July 18th. Again, anyone with information about the boy’s whereabouts is asked to report it to the Timmins Police Service.
