OPP

About 35g of marijuana worth around $700 and a southern Ontario resident is in custody today following a pair of related incidents. The OPP reports a car crash was reported early this morning, at the intersection of Highways 101 and 144. There were four occupants in the not-badly damaged vehicle, all uninjured and they were allowed to leave. Later in the day, the vehicle was spotted again at the ONR station in Timmins, with a fifth occupant. Something felt wrong about the situation and the officer investigated. The person was evasive and vague and bolted after a while. Another officer chased on foot and the suspect was taken into custody. The person is awaiting a bail hearing, while police find out who the person is. Two charges have been laid; one for drug possession, the other, obstruction of justice.
