The story of Timmins starts a new chapter towards another 100 years. And to honour the memory of those who came before in the last century, Ontario Heritage Trust presented a plaque to the City. The plaque’s inscription summarizes the important historical identity of our City and will act as a symbol leading the way forward. Mayor Tom Laughren calls the plaque a phenomenal achievement. A permanent site to locate the plaque hasn’t been finalizes but discussions strongly point to an installation at the clock tower on the northwest corner of Hollinger Park.
