Brian Kelly

The unionized workers at Ontario Northland have a message for the people of Northern Ontario; we’re going to make sure the Northlander continues running come September 29th. The Liberal government announced the sell off of the ONTC was gaining momentum with a shutdown date of September 28th for the Northlander and the first component to be sold is Ontera. Brian Kelly spokesperson for the General Chairperson’s Association, representing unionized employees, says this move shows an increased level of disdain by the government for northerners who live, work and travel in and out of the region. Kelly believes the Liberals are feeling pressure from the north and are scrambling to send the message that the fight is lost.
