The last Ontario Northland train is leaving Cochrane’s station tomorrow morning for the last time and it’s not going quietly. The last train will pull out of the station tomorrow morning with Cochrane’s mayor Peter Politis, Historian Wayne Labelle, Frank Cochrane, great grandson of the town’s namesake and others will board the train after an early-morning rally to kick things off. Residents of the area are invited to join in the rally to show their support. The passenger train that has served the north for more than 100 years will then be no more.
