Not sure if he was trying to get away from someone or something, but a 43-year-old Barrie driver has been charged for street racing. Tuesday, OPP clocked the man doing 140/km/h on Highway 655, which is a posted 90 stretch. Ironically, the man was speeding in a brand new Ford Escape SUV. His licence has been suspended and the vehicle impounded for seven days and he has to answer a summons to provincial court in Timmins on November 15th.
