It’s taken a while, but Pele Mountain has finally released a letter of support from Elliot Lake city council for its mining project in town. Pele asked for council’s support and it complied with a letter dated July 10th. Pele released the letter after the Labour Day weekend. Pele wants to build a uranium mine in Elliot Lake and also extract rare earth elements which are in short supply around the world. Despite this, the company’s shares trade in the six to seven cent range. That’s a big drop from five years ago when Pele was in the $1.30.
