Thursday, May 23rd

Trinity Lutheran Church in Fisherville is hosting a ham supper from 4:30pm until 7pm. Dinner will be served buffet style and feature a desert table. Tickets are only available in advance and they’re $13 for adults, $5 for children between the ages of 5 and 10 and kids 4 and under eat for free. Get your tickets by calling Joan at 905-779-3584.

The Haldimand Choralairs are celebrating their 48th of bringing beautiful music to Haldimand and Norfolk with a concert at Bethel Christian Reform Church in Dunnville. The show starts at 7:30pm.

 

Saturday, May 25th

It’s the 2nd Annual Nite Golf Tournament at the Dunnville Golf and Country Club. Admission will cover nine holes of golf, a pull cart, a delicious light buffet and exclusive access to exciting prizes. Registration begins at 6:30pm and proceeds will go to support the Dunnville Hospital’s Back the CAT initiative.

It’s the 7th Annual Ride for the Future in support of the Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation. Enjoy a scenic motorcycle ride around Haldimand County, beginning and ending at Ace’s Bar and Grill at the Mudcat Bowling Centre. Registration begins at 8:30am with the ride starting at 10am.

The Haldimand Abilities Centre presents Laughter Yoga for Healthy Living at United Church Hall from 10am until 11am. Community Living Haldimand is hosting their 4th Annual Strawberry Social and Celebration Night at the Jennie Deagle Complex from 6:30pm to 9pm. The social is absolutely free and there will be live music featuring “On The Wagon”, and displays of success from the people and businesses of Haldimand County. Saturday, June 15th

The No.6 RCAF Dunnville Museum and the Rotary Club of Dunnville are sponsoring “Rack O’ Ribs and Rockin’ Music” at the museum from 4pm until 7pm. The evening will feature the music of Dave Burton, Canton Cameron and The Free Spirits and a delicious dinner of ribs, coleslaw, potato salad and baked beans. Tickets are $25 per person and you can purchase yours at the Dunnville Chamber of Commerce and Art Service Office Supply.

The Dunnvile Youth Impact Centre is hosting their annual fundraiser RUN. RIDE. RAISE. This walk, run and bike-a-thon will raise profits for the Youth Impact Centre, a nonprofit organization dedicated to better equipping youngsters for life. Saturday, June 22nd

Dunnville Senior Support Services presents the 2nd Annual Blooms and Bubbly Wine and Garden Tour . The tours run from 10am to 3pm, with the food and wine tasting and silent auction running from noon to 5pm at The Potting Shed. Tickets are $12 and all proceeds raised will support programs for seniors and adults with disabilities through Haldimand-Norfolk Community Senior Support Services Inc. The friends of the Dunnville Public Library are holding their annual Summer Long Book Sale! There will be more than 10,000 items including gently used books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes and audio books. New inventory will be added every week. For more information call 905-774-4240.

 

Saturday, July 6th

The No.6 RCAF Museum is hosting their annual Open House from 10am to 3pm at the Dunnville Airport’s Hangar One. There will be tours of the museum, a fly in of vintage aircrafts, displays by local historical groups, several craft tables and a commemorative service at the museum’s Memorial Garden. Afterwards enjoy a chicken BBQ beginning at 5pm. For tickets to the BBQ call 905-774-4799.

 

Nominate your friends or family members for the Soroptimist International of Haldimand-Norfolk’s Women of Excellence Volunteerism Award. This award is for outstanding voluntary commitment and involvement in social services, programs and organizations within the community. Nomination forms are available at all county libraries and can be printed off at www.home.cogeco.ca/soroptimist . Forms must be returned to the libraries by February 20th and the award ceremony will be held on April 20th.

Every Mondaynight the Caledonia Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is having an open mixed darts league starting at 7pm on Monday nights. At 7:30 legion cards are open to anyone wishing to play.

 

At 7:30 on Tuesdays nights the Caledonia Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is having a euchre club open for everyone. They are also having open darts for any man 18 years or older.

 

Thursday Nights are Games Night at the Caledonia Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion where darts are open to all and many different types of billiards can be played. Pizza and wings are also available at a reasonable price with all proceeds going to the yearend party and upkeep of the legion.

 

Every Friday night at the Caledonia Legion, the Ladies Auxiliary will be preparing dinner with the menu varying from week to week. Dinner is $8 and there will be karaoke to follow.

 

The Employment Resource Centre is a branch of the Community Support Centre of Haldimand Norfolk, which is a non-profit organization.
