Hamilton is celebrating its newest medical jewel. The David Braley Cardiac, Vascular and Stroke Research Institute officially opened its doors yesterday. Federal Industry Minister Tony Clement announced the grand opening of the $100-million facility. President and CEO of Hamilton Health Sciences Murray Martin says the facility puts Hamilton in line with similar facilities in North Carolina and the United Kingdom. The 200,000 square foot building is the star of the Hamilton General Hospital site.
