Six Nations has entered into a historic agreement with Samsung and Pattern Energy Group to build one of the world’s largest wind and solar projects in Haldimand County. Samsung Vice president K.J. Kim says after almost two years of negotiations, Samsung is proud to have reached an agreement for the first renewable energy project in Six Nations’ history. Six Nations Chief William Montour says this agreement demonstrates the success that can be achieved with Six Nations as a partner. The Grand River Renewable Energy Park is a 250-megawatt project to be located in Haldimand and is part of the first phase of Samsung’s investment in Ontario.
