McHale Looking to Prove the Existence of Biased Policing in Caledonia

Hits

Gary McHale is building a case against OPP officers. Over the past month, McHale and CANACE have served six individual officers working at the former Douglas Creek Estate with lawsuits. The OPP spoke to the group several times at the DCE yesterday, and now McHale says he thinks he has proof the OPP are biased in their policing.  McHale says at least three officers read off a prepared text on cue cards, again warning McHale and his group if they didn't leave the area they would be arrested. McHale says the officers admitted the text was not what they came up with, but was instead supplied to them.  McHale says it was the first time in six years officers admitted they're not using their discretion, but rather being told what to say and do.  McHale and CANACE will return to the DCE next Sunday.
