E-mail Print PDF

The Accommodation Review Committee has come to a consensus on what to recommend to the Near North District School Board.  At last night's final ARC meeting, the committee narrowed their options down to two with over 75 percent voting in favour of an option brought forth by parent rep Darrin O'Brien.

O'Brien says the recommendation will mean grade seven and eight students will spend time in the high school.

The next step in the process would be the board receiving the recommendation as information on June 25th before making a decision whether to accept the proposal or deny it on September 24th.  There will be one final public meeting before September 24th where members of the ARC committee and the public can address the board members to plead their case for this proposal.  No date has been set for that meeting yet.
