A free cooking class for Almaguin Highlands Secondary School students has been a huge success. Teacher Lisa Rogers says they've already got a waiting list for next year. The AHSS Food Bank runs the classes every Thursday after school. The goal is to teach students how to make healthy recipes and take that knowledge and food home to their families. Rogers says so far they've made things like chili, soups, parfaits and cinnamon nachos with fruit. The last class of the year is today. For more information on next year's session, just call the school. The class takes a max of 12 students per session.
