Yesterday was a busy one for the West Parry Sound detachment as they responded to 38 calls in a 24 hour period with the worst being a drowning at Wah Wash Kesh Lake. OPP officers were called to the lake as a 48-year-old man from Harrisburg was being pulled out, unresponsive, after falling beneath the surface. All attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful. A post mortem at the West Parry Sound Health Centre revealed that the cause of death was drowning due to a medical event.
