Moose FM CKLP 103.3 - Parry Sound

Cottage country remains under a total fire ban with an extreme fire danger rating.  Any open air burning is prohibited until further notice in most municipalities of the Parry Sound District, Muskoka, and Almaguin Highlands.  The South River Machar Fire Department has just lifted their fire ban this morning saying campfires are allowed but must be handled with extreme caution.  The complete list of affected municipalities in Parry Sound and Almaguin Highlands includes: Archipelago, Armour, Burk's Falls, Carling, Joly, Kearney, Magnetawan, McDougall, McKellar, McMurrich/Montieth, Parry Sound, Perry, Ryerson, Strong, Sundridge, and Whitestone.  Municipalities south of Parry Sound also under fire bans until further notice include Tiny, Tay, Severn, Ramara Twp, and Rama.  Any questions should be directed to your municipal fire department.
