MP Votes Against Bill That Could Have Opened the Abortion Debate

Hits

Our MP is against a pro-life bill that would have called for the study of the legal definition of a human being.  The bill was defeated in the House of Commons yesterday 203-91.  MP for Parry Sound Muskoka Tony Clement voted against the bill along with Prime Minister Stephen Harper.  Harper didn't support the bill for fear it would open the debate on abortion.  The criminal code of Canada currently defines a child as a human only after it emerges from the mother's body at birth, alive.
