Novartis flu vaccines will be reintroduced into our local health unit's inventory.  The vaccines were suspended from use last month, but after a comprehensive review by Health Canada found the vaccines to be safe.  Medical Officer of Health for the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit Jim Chirico says they are pleased that the voluntary suspension of Novartis vaccines has been lifted and believes that the process followed by Novartis and public health demonstrates that public safety is our primary concern as it exemplifies due diligence and transparency.  Flu Shot clinics continue across the district and for the next clinic near you, go to the Health Unit's website: www.healthunit.biz.
