Rona Building Centres are getting involved in fundraising for employees of the Algo centre mall who are now without work or paycheques. Chad Sonnenburg, the owner of Elliot Lake’s RONA store has reached out to RONA locations across Ontario and they will begin a fundraising drive for the Scotiabank Algo Employee Disaster Fund, which will provide emergency assistance for the hundreds of people now out of work because of Saturday’s roof collapse. Patrons of the stores will be asked to donate $1.00 at the tills up until July 14th. On top of this stores are also encouraged to hold charity barbecues.
