Moose FM CKNR 94.1 - Elliot Lake

A woman has been killed on Highway 144 after the car she was a passenger in was hit by an out-of-control vehicle.  Police say the driver of a southbound Mazda lost control of his car late afternoon Thursday, went into the opposite lane and hit a car and van. The female passenger in that other car died at the scene.  The driver of the Mazda suffered non life-threatening injuries while the people in the van he hit were only slightly hurt.  The collision, near Onaping Falls, shutdown Highway 144 for nearly seven hours.
